Evening of Monday 21st June 2010: Welcome Reception at Newcastle Civic Centre.

The Lord Mayor of Newcastle invites you to join him at Newcastle Civic Centre for a welcome reception to mark the opening of the Symposium. The 2010 ISPRS Commission V Symposium will be opened by the Lord Mayor, the President of ISPRS and the Vice-Chancellor of Newcastle University. Complimentary drinks and canapés will be served. Evening of Wednesday 23rd June 2010: Symposium Gala Dinner at The Great North Museum: Hancock.

The Great North Museum: Hancock, recently refurbished at a cost of £26 million, was opened by Her Majesty the Queen in October 2009. Delegates will enjoy a welcome drink before being able to peruse the exhibits and sit down to a three-course Gala Dinner. Highlights of the museum include a large-scale, interactive model of Hadrian's Wall, a planetarium and a life-size T-Rex dinosaur skeleton.
